The Big Tom Waterhouse Take Over – William Hill

One anti-gambling campaigner has been raising concerns over the $34 million acquisition of an Australian betting company by William Hill.

Recently one of Britain’s biggest live and online betting gambling businesses, William Hill, took over Australia’s Tom Waterhouse online gambling affairs expanding its presence on top of entities already connected with William Hill such as Centrebet and Sportingbet.

The whole takeover has meant that William Hill now has a comprehensive list of all the Tom Waterhouse gamblers and their betting habits. With this information at hand the company have gained huge gambling prowess in Australia, and Tim Costello from the Australian Church Gambling Taskforce fears that there could be a negative backlash coming from the deal. His concerns are that William Hill may target problem gamblers in the country in order to get them to bet more using marketing promotions to celebrate William’s Hill’s expansion.

It means the losers on that list will be getting some of the best bonus deals around. No deposit bonus free play deals are just the beginning to get these unfortunate punters back on the circuit in celebration of the takeover. The deals will be tied in with William Hill’s campaign to create awareness of the takeover within the Australian online gambling marketplace.

According to Costello those who have been noted down as winners on this newly gained list, may be left with the bum deals that don’t really make up for much as far as casino bonuses are concerned.

Tim Costello seems to be concerned that once punters have taken advantage of these bonus deals it might be too late for them to back out of making a cash deposit.
Obviously getting a large no deposit casino bonus is something we’d all love to take advantage of, but for some of us we may want to go that extra mile and start to take advantage of other bonus deals that include parting with cash. It is an upwards spiral for the punters to begin with thanks to free money, but then slowly the free money runs out and so the deposit bonus deals kick in. In the end the punters are injecting more cash to lose long after their promotional options have been used.

For the punters that have a good strategy plus sound control over the way they bet and what they bet on, the beginning of this takeover will be great. Also new members that want to sign up to the website are going to get plenty of However, Tom Costello once again has tried to cast a dark shadow over this type of marketing.

Another Costello fear is that the players who will be hit the hardest are the semi-pro and pro gamblers out there. William Hill’s access to this list could mean that the business will purposely offer these account lower odds in order to discourage them from laying so many bets.

Of course this is all speculation and if you want to crack a market and gain loyal customers the way to do it is by giving away good deals to all your clients. The online gambling and sports betting markets will always be like this accepting the fact that there will be plenty of winners on their sites. Having winners means positive word-of-mouth and so William Hill would do well to ensure that their reputation on the street is spoken about positively by all.
