Responsible Gambling & Player Exclusion a God Send

- With the issue of gambling not always bringing the most positive of reactions from the media and other social services that interact with the public, the responsible gambling logo on websites have become somewhat of a godsend for both casino and player.
Players that are on a bad run, but can’t but help chase their money despite knowing they should call it a day, the responsible gambling tool allows players to ban their account for a selected amount of time so they can cool off.
12 hours, 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year are all options available to all players on many of the online casinos to ban their accounts from real money activity. For some it is hard to get there and actually go through with it; while for others the pure disappointment and sometimes their anger of losing drives them to take action and forbid the casino from letting them gamble any further.
This fail safe option has been around for a long time now and is a perquisite to being an eCOGRA approved casino, plus many of the licensers require online casinos to give this option to their punters.
After several interviews with some of the hard-core online real money gamers out there, many of them claim that being able to have the option to force themselves to stop playing is a godsend. Although, it can be a problem getting to this point, once the deed has been actioned, there is no turning back. That means once you have ban your account, you cannot reactivate your account until the time period selected has expired.
No amount of begging to support will help either because the rules clearly stipulate that this action is irreversible. At least for the casino that the player has ban their account on it is.
Many players have been found to have ban themselves for extended periods of time as a way of telling the casino they are frustrated with the results, but after cooling down the 6 months they selected may have been a little over the top. As a result, this has meant players have been known to go and open accounts on other casinos so they can gamble once again.
For those that do take this action, it actually does more damage than good because they lose out on their VIP points and sometimes within the time period, their points will expire.
The moral to the story is that this is a great tool if you know how to use it properly. If you casino does not have the option to ban yourself from playing, then seek a new casino. At the same time, you will get to relive the casino bonus code hunt!
