Playtech Joins Forces with Major Casino Operators

The casino games software giant Playtech has recently partnered with a number of major casino operators in various world markets.  In the German market, Playtech has entered into a partnership with Gauselmann, a long-time casino company, for the purpose of working together on the development of new gaming products.  The extent to which the two companies will be able to work together in the German market is dependant upon developments in the German government regarding regulatory policies; assuming they hands are not tied by new regulations, the two companies plan on offering sports betting and various casino games.  The partnership agreement splits the new venture fifty-fifty with a slight advantage to Gauselmann in order to register the business as being based in Germany.

In the South African market, thanks so the improved probability of legalization, Playtech has partnered with Peermont, a South African operator of casinos and resorts.  Peermont, already operating 14 casinos and resorts, teamed up with Playtech for the purposes of developing the sports betting market.  Though the gambling legislation has yet to be passed in the South African Parliament, the two companies are nonetheless optimistic about the venture.

In addition to fifty-fifty partnerships, Playtech has also embarked on ventures in which they purchase other companies whole.  Last year, Playtech purchased mobile online casino company Mobenga, and now they have purchased sports betting software company Geneity for £11 million.  Playtech is combining the products in order to offer regular sports betting platforms and mobile sports betting platforms.  Casino reviews are looking forward to the release of the new Playtech sports betting mobile platform.
