Las Vegas Land-Based Casino Offers Players Online Poker

It seems like the winds of change are whistling loudly throughout the United States as more and more companies gear up for impending legalization and regulation of online gambling.  Now, it seems that those stretching their money-making muscles aren't only big business groups (like Donald Trump's enterprise), but also land-based casinos.  Seeing an option to get a head start, the operators of a Las Vegas casino are now offering free online poker website to their players.

The website is called SouthPointPoker.com and they're offering up free poker, similar to "fun-play" sites that most online poker rooms offer where players can play with fun money to practice their skills and play for fun.  South Point Casino, the casino offering this website, is planning head and hopes to have a strong fun-play customer base that they can easily switch over to paying customers once poker is legal and regulated in the United States.

Aside from just offering up free poker play, SouthPointPoker.com is also offering players the chance to win seats to the 2012 WSOP (World Series of Poker).  The group offered the website only to the casino's player club members until Monday when the site became open to the public.  They are the first such land-based casino to offer a free poker product and it'll be interesting to see if other brands follow suit.
