Ladbrokes Enters Nevada Casino Scene

Ladbrokes, the English sports betting and online casino games company, has agreed to purchase a majority share of Stadium Technology Group, a Vegas based software company specializing in risk management and bookie technologies.  Stadium Technology Group, founded in February 2009, is known for their products PrimeLine and Rapid Bet Live™.  The CEO of Stadium Technology is Derek Harmer.

Richard Glynn, the CEO of Ladbrokes, said that his company is now establishing a presence in the U.S. for two reasons: one, the U.S. is a massive market with enormous potential, and two, the current legislative environment is leaning heavily towards legalization in many states.  The hope is that Ladbrokes will have a top usa online casino running out of Nevada as soon as the legislation and licensing allow for it.  Glynn added that Stadium Technology currently supplies many top Vegas casinos and sees much potential for future expansion.

In the immediate future, Ladbrokes will be purchasing 65% of Stadium Technology Group for three million dollars.  The deal is that they have an option of purchasing the remainder of the company if the company’s performance over the coming five years warrants it.
