Full Tilt Poker Suspended by Alderney Gambling Control Commissions

This morning, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission issued an order to Full Tilt to suspend all of its operations, effective immediately.  The PR issued by the AGCC explains that the suspension was issued in light of the investigation that started as a result of the indictments given by the US Attorney General's Office in New York in April of this year.   There will be a hearing for Full Tilt in London on July 26th and most likely until then none of the since-suspended operations will resume.

This is the latest in a series of fallen dominoes that was set in motion in April when the US Department of justice stopped all activity on three of the world's largest online poker rooms that offered their service to players from the US.

A month following the seizure, PokerStars, one of the largest of these sites, paid over 100 million dollars to American players.  Full Tilt seemed to be stalling in paying out their winnings.  Phil Ivey, the site's spokesperson said that he wouldn't play in any WSOP events (while he endorsed Full Tilt) because of Full Tilt's failure to pay out American players.  Apparently they're also not paying out European Players.

This was against the AGCCs regulations.
