Fortune Magazine Talks About the Legalization of Online Gambling in the US

Many investors see a future in online gambling and believe it will be legalized in the US sometime soon.  One of those people is Richard Bronson, who is the founder and owner of US Digital Gaming.  His company will provide software and advertising services for online operators.  Fortune magazine sat down with Bronson to talk about the interest of billionaires in online gaming.

Bronson talked about his own success in interesting several billionaire businessmen in his own company.  He mentioned the names of Steve Roth, a real estate mogul and Herbert Simon, who is known in the shopping mall industry.  No one is involved in the gaming industry.

The article talks about the importance in investing at the right time.  Those who start early will have an advantage, which is why investors are getting involved even though no laws have been passed yet.  There are several initiatives out there, including one with Donald Trump and Marc Lasry, a hedge fund manager.

The article also discussed the agreement between Fertitta Interactive and Cyberarts.  The company Fetitta had earlier aligned with Full Tilt Poker but the deal fell through after the Black Friday indictments.  Steve Wynn had the same problem with his deal with PokerStars, but he had not found a replacement.

Fortune also mentions Caesar’s Entertainment in the article.  They are investing in online operations and supporting a lobbying effort in Washington DC.  Caesar’s Entertainment is now owned by Apollo Global Management and TPG.

It is becoming obvious that legalized online gambling is in the future of the United States.
