Daniel Tzvetkoff - Star Witness in US Online Poker Prosecution

As the US government prepares to take down 11 huge online poker executives for fraud, money laundering and a slew of other assorted charges, a man by the name of Daniel Tzvetkoff is going to play a very important role as the prosecution's star witness.   Interestingly enough, Mr. Tzvetkoff is "in the know" because he allegedly was right there in the ring and racked in a serious amount of cash with his cronies who he is now seemingly help to put behind bars.  Sounds like the beginning of a bad movie...

It seems that turning them over to the authorities, while potentially saving his own hide, might not be the smartest thing that this 28 year old has done.  Currently, he's in witness protection in New York waiting the trial.  This Australian native is the founder of Intabill which at its prime was one of the largest online billing companies.  No huge surprise that he got involved with the online poker industry and the story doesn't end well.  Instabill reportedly owed millions to various online poker companies.  The company was allegedly engaging in bank and wire fraud and money laundering, the same charges that the online poker giants are charged with.  Reportedly, Tzvetkoffw as making as much as $150,000 a day at the peak.  Not a small time criminal.

While it's not clear who tipped off the FBI as to where Tzvetkoff was in the first place, now the tables have turned and Tzvetkoff is said to be the star witness in the ensuing prosecution.  Seemingly, his cooperation will save him jail time and probably a lot of other serious punishments. Will witness protection be enough to protect this guy? Seems like he's made more than just a few big time enemies.
