Recently, it was announced that CelebPoker acquires Titan Poker. The goal of the partnership is to create of one of the largest skins to be hosted at the highest levels of the online poker network.

In 2009, CelebPoker transitioned from Boss Media’s International Poker Network to Playtech’s iPoker Network. Despite initial positive forecasts, CelebPoker was unable to fulfill the benchmarks made mandatory by the iPoker network to make it to the top level alone.

iPoker is owned by Playtech and in July they enacted a new set of rules which stipulate that operators must have a base of 6,000 monthly active players, as well as the acquisition of 850 new players each month. CelebPoker and others were made to comply with this, but were unable to meet the requirement for players.

In related news, because of the new requirements, players originating in Romania and Hungary are being transitioned to Titan Poker because the online casino games operator, Dracula Poker, has also folded. The company’s website hosted a post on its maing page that invited its poker players to join Titan Poker, a leader in the online casino games industry with a large library of games.

Titan Poker has long been an industry heavyweight with the biggest number of involved players of all the online poker rooms.
