Blackjacks Continuous Shuffler Machines and RNGs

With the introduction of continuous shuffling machines has come the demise of the card counter. CRMs are used to shuffle the decks a lot more often than they used to be. This makes it virtually impossible for a card counter to gain any kind of convincing edge over the game using the high/low card counting system.

Even in online Blackjack it is impossible to card count because the decks online never remain consistent from hand to hand because they are also on continuous shuffle

Online casinos use algorithms called RNGs (Random Number Generators) that consistently shuffle the cards in the background. This works in the casino’s favour in several ways. Firstly, if a hacker did manage the colossal task of hacking an online casino and for the code, it will still be almost impossible for them to predict the next cards coming out of the deck.

The system shuffles the cards at a rate of milliseconds and string of codes used is virtually impossible to crack and so large that it would be impossible for a hacker to predict

Even if someone did get the string of code from the RNG algorithm, it would take a day or two for them to break it down even using advanced software before knowing where it is in the shuffle sequence. Secondly, RNG algorithm codes change almost on a daily basis making this unbreakable. Then there are several algorithms in progress simultaneously swapping from table to table, so again even if a hacker would find the right table, that algorithm will be gone within a few minutes.

In the background the RNG continuously shuffles the deck selected for this hand, and when the hand is over a new deck is in and a new string of code shuffling these cards

Effectively, RNG systems mean that the players choose when to stop the shuffle by selecting ‘Stand’, ‘Hit’ or ‘Double’. If you ‘split’ the pack stops, then starts again before you ‘Stand’, ‘Hit’ or ‘Double’ on your new hands. There is no way to card count and no way to cheat the system. However, the old style games of Blackjack where the dealer does not shuffle is now obsolete when it comes to virtual online Blackjack tables.

Online the LIVE dealer suits are the best place to get some edge using card counting, and on the live casino and Blackjack scene, casinos that don’t use CRMs are the best place

Even though casinos have always been worried about card counters, they don’t like to slow the tables down by having the dealer shuffle so often. In came the CRMs and voila, a quick solutions to random shuffles giving the casinos the opportunity to put off card counters. Some casinos still don’t use them, and in the LIVE dealer suits the shuffle machines are used sparingly.
