Now it has another offering for its worldwide customer base after going into partnership with Inspired to bring Virtual Sports Betting.

The partnership with the virtual game provider Inspired will allow customers of Betfair enjoy one of the latest betting crazes that is sweeping the world right now. Betfair have moved quickly to try and capitalize on this craze that sees bettors taking bets on virtual sports games such as Rush Football, Rush Tennis, Rush Motor Racing, and Rush Horse Racing.

Betfair will create a new channel on their website that will host continual streams of virtual sports that will run 24 hours a day and seven days a week. This will mean there will be more than 3,000 different events each day for punters to bet on and it will all be available to play via desktop or through mobile devices that run Android or iOS.
Simulated sports matches will allow bettors to place bets as before the game starts and also while the game is in play with up to the minute odds being offered at all times.

Inspired Welcomes Betfair

Steve Rogers, the Chief Commercial Officer for Inspired has stated that they are extremely happy to welcome Betfair and that they believe they will quickly see how popular this form of betting is.

The London based virtual game supplier does not solely concentrate on virtual sports betting and actually offers a range of services to casinos across the world and online. They provide slots, casino games, and lottery games to more than 30 countries at the moment. Among their most notable clients are William Hill, Ladbrokes, and Paddy Power but they will no doubt be delighted to bring Betfair on board as well.

Will the Craze Have Longevity?

Many in the industry feel that while virtual sports betting is popular now, that it will not have the longevity to stay popular for too long. It is a new avenue and this is what most people attribute to its early success but they do believe that punters will still go back to betting on live events rather than a simulation.

Human behavior and human reactions will always have an edge over anything that is software based and many feel it is just a matter of time before virtual sports betting dies down. Until then however, many people are enjoying something new and Betfair want to make sure that they can provide it for them.

I guess it is up to us to try it out and form our very own opinions but one thing is for sure, virtual sports betting is currently sweeping across the planet.
