Betfair Debuts Updated Android App

- Top online casino games operator, Betfair, has just announced the debut of a revamped application for Android mobile users. The company hopes that with these changes, the player experience will be enhanced.
In a press release, the top rated online casino stated that the updates are part of the company’s commitment to enhancing its mobile offering, and in particular improving the betting experience of customers who use Android devices.”
Raj Vemulapalli, Betfair’s Mobile Division VP, shared his excitement and thoughts on the updated offering, “Due to the popularity of the Android platform, this app will provide a huge number of existing and potential Betfair customers with a fundamentally improved experience. This product is another example of how Betfair is leading the way in mobile gaming.”
He went on to say, “This app will build on the already formidable performance of our mobile division, which recorded £22.7 million in revenues in fiscal year 2012 and saw a 122 percent increase in the number of bets placed. We have already seen the benefits of significant product investment with our new native iPhone and iPad applications winning industry awards and featuring in wider reviews like the Sunday Times Top 500 Apps and a Best of British Apps report in association with UK Trade and Industry.”
Betfair recently noted that they have seen growth in their mobile division with an increase to 275,000 active mobile users. Reports indicate that these users placed 44 million mobile bets in 2012, generating £22.7 million in income for the brand.
