Rock Gaming Enters into Deal with Caesars Interactive

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission released data indicating that Caesars Entertainment sold a share of its casino games online subsidiary to its partner, Rock Gaming for the sum of $60.8 million. The part of the business now owned by Rock includes a department that organizes the World Series of Poker and recently launched Caesars Casino for Facebook. Caesars is aspiring to be the number one mobile online casino provider of casino games online and no deposit online casinos.  

In the agreement, Caesars Entertainment allowed for the possibility that Rock Gaming can increase its shares in the company by twenty-five percent, $19.2 million, in the future. Rock and Caesars already work together in various projects, including the management of two casinos in Cleveland and Cincinnati. The companies are also in negotiations over the acquisition of a license that will enable the development and operation of a video lottery terminal facility in downtown Baltimore with joint venture partners CVPR Gaming Holdings, LLC, and The Stronach Group.

Rock Gaming released a statement that read, “Rock Gaming is pleased to expand our relationship with the Caesars organization through an investment in Caesars Interactive Entertainment. Through our existing joint venture to develop full-service urban casinos in Cleveland and Cincinnati… we believe that an investment in CIE is a natural next step to align our interests and talents with Caesars.”

Ceasars Entertainment is focused on the future expansion of social gaming and top mobile online casinos and bonuses, with the belief that there is the possibility of growing the company’s bottom line.
