The Gambling Green Factor

Even the British National Lottery, the largest provider of scratch cards in the UK have made huge deals to their own live paper scratch cards on to the online scene, not just because online gaming is convenient and offer more flexibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a huge factor for large corporations in today’s modern and unsustainable world. The National Lottery in the UK realize this and now have their own online scratch cards in order to save on paper and reduce the number of scratch cards they need to produce on the streets for those that still prefer to use the live scratch as the middle ages reach elderly status and the late thirties meet the middle age era of their lives, these shifts also cause ripples in. Luckily, with society increasingly becoming computer literate as the

One of the things that many people do not consider when playing scratch card games is the rubbish left behind after all the fun and games are over.

Although scratch cards are just paper (cardboard), the actual processes that go into producing the cards is harmful to the environment. We all have to have print on fliers, business cards, posters and other published media that help to entertain us in life. However, when you consider just how much paper the internet and computers as a team have saved, you have to consider that online scratch cards also fall under this category.

Millions of scratch cards are purchased every day from local gas stations and confectionary stores selling people the chance to scratch become riche or even just a tad richer. These cards are then dispersed off after their one time use is up. If we began to collate the number of cards thrown away and not recycled, we can start to only imagine how more trees will need to be used to replace materials that could be recycled.

In fact most scratch cards are made only from recycled paper anyway, but the main concern is the inks that are used. These negatively affect the environment and with so many scratch cards being thrown away, even though a small contributor, it becomes yet another negative toxic factor.

As we are responsible for the sustainability of our own earth, every little bit helps. One person that throws litter on the floor may say “Well it’s only one piece of litter”. Multiple this by a million likeminded people, and you have a million crisp packets thrown on the floor each day. Scratch cards are no different, so when you are playing a scratch card online, you can play with a small smirk on your face knowing that you are helping to save the environment!
