Microgaming Keeping Lead on Mobile Platforms

Microgaming, established in 1994, is the world’s largest provider of online and mobile gaming software, providing over 600 casino games to over 160 casinos around the world.  In order to solidify their position as global market leader, Microgaming has recently announced that they plan to release eight new games for Android compatible devices.  The eight new games, as well as the Microgaming games already on the market, employ what’s known as a “swipe and tap” interface.”  This interface is credited with the popularity of Microgaming’s touch-platform games.

The eight games newly customized for the Android platform include very popular Microgaming titles.  Some of the popular online slot titles include Avalon, Spring Break, Break da Bank Again, and Agent Jane Blonde.  There are also video poker games like Aces & Faces and Deuces Wild.

Neill Whyte, Microgaming’s head of product channels, said that in keeping Microgaming’s long-time tradition of industry leadership, the “swipe and tap” interface is yet another great Microgaming development that will surely please everyone in the gaming community.  Though the future remains unknown, Whyte expressed his confidence that Microgaming will remain the industry leader regardless of whatever directions the industry may turn.

Though Microgaming is not limited to the online casino market and provides land-based casino services as well, experts say that the future of gaming technology is in online gaming, and specifically suggest focusing on mobile casinos.  To date, the dissemination of smartphone technology has already broadened the online gaming market and produced extremely lucrative growth markets around the world.
