IGT May Be Next to Receive Nevada License

Online casino game legislation and the licensure of top rated online casinos continues to move ahead in the state of Nevada. This past week, the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the first regulatory body in the United States with the ability to award online casino games licenses, signaled to IGT that they will likely be next in line to receive a license.  This news follows earlier reports that the Nevada Gaming Control Board gave Bally Technologies a similar impression.

If the Board decides to press forward, both IGT and Bally’s will be given the legal right to partner with brick and mortar Nevada casino operators to provide a top rated online casino games site to their players.

IGT is a well-know brand that has been operating in the online casino games industry for over ten years. The company is the only supplier in the United States that manages a successful business to business poker network.

There have been indications that the Nevada Gaming Commission is likely to determine which of the best online casinos will receive licenses at their meeting at the end of June.

Patti Hart, IGT chief executive officer commented, “We are honored to be one of the first recommended providers by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This important step will allow IGT to better support our customers as they expand their offerings to their players to include interactive wager based entertainment. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this exciting and necessary expansion of gaming in the US.”
