It has been announced that top rated online casino games company, Betfair is the latest company to join Geo Network’s expanding customer base. Geo Networks received its big break into the online casino games industry last year by entering into a national network contract with bet365.
Geo will supply Betfair with a fiber network linking two data centers in London with the goal of improving the top online casino company’s IP transit connectivity and link its data centers in Ireland to UK points of presence. The companies have entered into a three year deal.
Betfair’s Head of Global Infrastructure Services stated, “Providing our customers with the lowest latency connectivity is critical to the success of our business. Our key goals are ensuring network redundancy, reducing latency and improving reliability, on fiber that we can rely on to process today’s extremely high volumes of transactions, and scale with us tomorrow and beyond. Geo’s fiber means that we can connect with multiple carriers, transiting customers to our website based in Ireland, providing a smooth end-user experience.”
Andy Tipping, Geo’s Online Sales Director, weighed in as well, “Geo epitomizes everything that gaming and other online organizations need from a fiber operator, with our legacy-free, UK-wide network, which will soon provide the lowest latency London to Dublin connection. We are delighted to welcome Betfair to our growing list of high profile online organizations.”
