Baccarat Bonuses

The secret behind learning to play the game of Baccarat is that it’s exceedingly simple. Mastering the game however, is not so simple. Most people are turned off by the snobby nature of the game; it doesn’t have the same mass appeal as blackjack or poker. However, once you start playing, you’ll learn to love this game fast (as most do) because it’s easy to pick up and learning strategy associated with different baccarat bonus betting techniques is fun to try out as it’s easy to win.

The object of the game is simply to bet on the hand that has the value closest to the number nine. In this game, the suit and color of the card has no meaning, only the number value. Numbered cards 1-9 are counted at face value, aces are valued at one and picture cards are valued at zero (including 10s). If a hand totals more than nine, 10 is deducted from it to give it the total score (an easy way to do this is simply to drop the first digit, 12 becomes 2, for example). A player can bet on the player, the banker or on a tie. The player starts by placing a bet on the table. Two cards are dealt for the player and two for the banker. If on the first deal the player gets a total of 8 or 9, this is called a natural and the player automatically wins unless the dealer gets the same.
